So I am completely in love with Ireland. I never want to leave. I seem to have this attachment problem everywhere I go. I'm bitter towards France because it's taking me away from Ireland and yet once I get to France I know I won't want to leave either.
So over the last few days I've done so much it's insane. I'm pretty sure my body is running on pure adrenaline because I know for sure it's not running off food or good sleep. Or I have vertigo. I seem to think the ground is moving everywhere I go. That's not normal right?
Anyways on my first day I wondered around and got very lost. I went to the smallest pub in Dublin and had my first Guinness. Which is not particularly my favorite drink. It's like the darkest of beers ive ever had and they take it very seriously here. I then went to a Viking and Medieval exhibition which was really cool.
Hostels always have the most interesting people and I've made some great Canadian friends. We went out last night and had great/interesting time. I will also miss them when I continue on.
I also dropped one of my contacts on the ground last night and then found it dried up in the morning. I soaked it in some solution ad put it back in! That is the definition of winning baby!!
Today we went to the Guinness factory and I meandered some more. I'm now currently sitting in an Irish pub alone drinking my faithful friend, Kopparberg strawberry ale. I've missed it since I left England. We also went to St. Patrick's cathedral which is beautiful!! The weather has been so lovely! We ended up just laying in the grass outside the church. You know someone's Irish when they lay outside on the sidewalk in a suit in 60 degree weather to soak up the most sun they've probably seen in years. I'm over here trying to enjoy the cold weather!!
Oh and I don't know how all these girls wear heels on these cobble stone streets?!!! It's bull honky!!! If getting lost and pulling out a map doesn't give away that I'm a tourist then my lack of ability to walk on cobble stone will.
Oh and I love Irish children. My goal in life is to have a darling red headed baby.
