Musique and St.Malo

Every time I travel I always seem to miss something different on each trip. Except Mexican food. Living in Texas I always miss Mexican food.

I'm having an amazing time, but of course I'm having a little homesickness. Lately I've been missing music, or musique here. On a normal basis I listen to music at least 24-7 and it's been hard here. I don't have a car or an ipod player or anything. I don't mind homesickness though because it always makes me appreciate the darnedest things. :)

This has been our first weekend off of school and it's already flown by. Yesterday a few of us went back to St.Malo. It was absolutely perfect. The weather is in the high 60s and sunny. We just walked around the little streets and along the beach. I almost feel bad for being in such a beautiful place because I feel so blessed. The city dates back to the Middle Ages. The walled port city sits on the coast of Brittany, France with a picturesque background of clear waters dotted with sail boats.

Then today we went to a lush park here in Rennes to join in on a July 4th celebration. Out in this pavilion there were french people celebrating Independence Day! They were playing every song you could think of that had the words America or USA in the title and then they starting line dancing to country songs! It was hilarious and absolutely adorable. Apparently country line dancing is very popular here.

This trip has definitely been amazing. I can't wait to explore Belgium and see some new places. :)
