England

The new royal baby has inspired to me to finally write one of my past travel posts. Welcome to the world George Alexander Louis! It's an exciting feeling to be apart of what will one day be an exciting moment in history.

"When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford."
-Samuel Johnson

So today I watched a darling old movie called The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain. It's an older movie with Hugh Jackman and Colm Meaney, whom I find attractive call me crazy, but anyways its a great movie check it out sometime. So with that I decided to post on one of my most recent trips to England.

This past December one of my good friends Derek and I decided to go to England for New Years. We left the day after Christmas and arrived in the beautiful country just in time to enjoy the beautiful festivities.

For the first half of our trip we spent it in Manchester. A wonderful city north east of the London area.It was my choice to go to Manchester because I wanted to see one of my all time favorite soccer teams, Manchester United, play in a premier league game. And we were able to! It is still one of my most fondest memories.

Anyways this post has been sitting drafted on my computer for 3 days now and I've decided I just have so much to say that I can't say it all.

England is amazing. I love the people, the history, the weather and just everything. Being there for New Years was one of the most amazing experiences. The fire works over Big Ben and the Tower of London were beautiful and I would highly recommend going to England to ring in the new year.

So if you're every backpacking through England. I recommend, one going to Manchester because it is a brilliant city and a lot of fun. I also recommend going to a Manchester United game, but i'm biased.

I also recommend staying in the St. Christophers in London. The hostel is conveniently located and I met so many wonderful people.

Sorry for the lazy post - M
