I once heard a quote on the show Downton Abbey and I believe it to be true. It was "It's okay to miss home sometimes, that means you have a good family."
Well I'm back home now and it feels amazing to sleep in my own bed! I was a little delirious the past two days. In Boston I kept thinking I could pay in euros. I also had a dream (in french) that I was going to miss my boat. And then the night I got home I fell asleep on the couch at 9 and woke up and asked where I was. So needless to say I've been a little off, but I got my mexican food so all is well in the world!!
(Texas clouds)
On the last days of my travels I took a train to Brussels and then a bus to the city of Charleroi, where I stayed for a night in a hotel. The next morning I flew to Dublin where I had a 4 hour layover and then to Boston where I stayed for a night. Just being back in Ireland for those 4 hours made me miss it. The people in Ireland are so much fun. I will without a doubt be going back and exploring more of the beautiful country.
Boston was also very cool! I had never been before and I am reluctant to say that I did not know how chic of a little sea side city it is. I met up with one of my friends from Australia who's staying there and we went on a really interesting tour of the Harpoon brewery. They have over 11 different type of beers and we got to try them all... Afterwards he and I and 2 guys we met from LA went with us to Chinatown where we got some rather delicious Asian food. Although I missed Asian food so much I could've settled with panda express. I probably would've been kicked out of Boston if I said that anywhere in Chinatown though. My friends seemed to be amazed to know that here in Texas we don't have a Chinatown... It's so freaking big though I wouldn't know. With a combination of the beer and Asian food though I about fell asleep on the table there. But on a side note if anyone is ever looking for a good place to stay in Boston the Hostel International in Boston is amazing. It was rather odd staying in a hostel in the US, but the place was great! I highly recommend it.
I then had one last flight the next morning. Which felt like forever, but I arrived in Austin! And much like the quote said I couldn't be happier to see my family. My travels were amazing, but I love coming home.
Except now that I've been here for a few days and I realize I'm a college graduate and that now I have to find a real job I think I'll go back.
I can't even decide if I want to get my hair cut and I'm supposed to figure out a job? I'm excruciatingly close to just putting options into a hat and picking one. Sadly I'm not kidding.
We went to a wedding last night of one of my brothers close friends. It was a beautiful summer wedding and the couple was so precious they've been together since high school. But nothing makes you feel more single than a wedding. So now as I'm baking in the Texas heat, jobless, and a little alone. I think I'll buy a dog or something... Anyways they had some really cute props and a photographer with a polaroid camera taking pictures for everyone. I miss old photography so much. Back in the days when your photos were a surprise. Now everything is digital and floating around in some time space continuum on the computer. (Please do not send me some nerdy correction of what digital photos actual are -__-) My point is I think they're a lost art like handwritten letters.
Have a wonderful weekend

(I'll be posting more photos from Belgium, Ireland, France and Boston soon)
